This document is customer property and is to remain with this unit. Only trained and qualified service personnel
should install, repair, or service air-conditioning equipment. Read this manual thoroughly before startup and follow
installation and service requirement to assure unit reliable operation. This manual does not contain all service
procedures necessary for the continued successful operation of this equipment. For more information, contact
your local agent.

carefully. WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or

Responsible Refrigerant Practices!
Trane believes that responsible refrigerant practices are important to the environment, our customers, and the air
conditioning industry. All technicians who handle refrigerants must be certified. Know and follow the applicable
laws for handling, reclaiming, recovering and recycling of certain refrigerants and the equipment used in these
service procedures.
WARNING - Contains Refrigerant!
System contains oil and refrigerant under high pressure. Recover refrigerant to relieve pressure before opening
the system. See unit nameplate for refrigerant type. Do not use non-approved refrigerants, refrigerant substitutes,
or refrigerant additives. Failure to follow proper procedures or the use of non-approved refrigerants, refrigerant
substitutes, or refrigerant additives could result in death or serious injury or equipment damage.
WARNING - Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required!
Always refer to appropriate guidelines when handling refrigerants. Use proper breathing, eye, and body protection
during the handling of refrigerants. Failure to follow proper handling guidelines could result in death or serious
injury.
WARNING - Live Electrical Components!
During installation, testing, servicing and troubleshooting of this product, it may be necessary to work with live
electrical components. Have a qualified licensed electrician or other individual who has been properly trained in
handling live electrical components perform these tasks. Failure to follow all electrical safety precautions when
exposed to live electrical components could result in death or serious injury.
