The camera index consists of two characters, A-Z + _. User assignable, it
should match the camera unit. For example, the camera index A_ can be
assigned to the A camera, and B_ to the B camera etc.
4 characters, 0001-9999. Automatically increments for each blank recording
medium. The user can change the counter for the next reel. This should on-
ly be done under special circumstances, such as after changing the camera
body in the middle of a shoot.
One prefix, fixed to C, to separate the reel counter from the clip counter. 3
characters, 001-400. Automatically increments each time a clip is recorded.
Current system date (YYMMDD) as set in MENU > System > System Time
+ Date, separated from the other naming components by an underscore.
Current system time (HHMMSS) as set in MENU > System > System Time
+ Date, separated from the other naming components by underscore.
One character, identifies the clip codec (a = ARRIRAW, p = Apple ProRes).
The camera serial number encoded in 4 letters Base 36 (0-9, A-Z). 12RJ
translates into decimal serial number 50239.
All clips are written as MXF files.
