6000 Virtual Library System

the HP StorageWorks 6000 Virtual Library System (VLS6000) offers fast data protection and backup in complex
SaN environments.
the VLS6000 are single-node solutions that scale in performance and capacity to 600MB/sec and 106tB of useable storage (VLS6600) with
2:1 hardware compression. emulating popular tape libraries and tape drives, the VLS6000 integrates into the existing data protection environment,
removing the need to change backup software or monitoring policies. By emulating multiple tape drives simultaneously, more backup jobs can be
done in parallel resulting in reduced backup times. additionally, because the data resides on disk, single file restores are exceptionally fast.
the VLS6000 now supports the licensing of accelerated Deduplication which retains up to 50 times more data readily available on disk.
accelerated Deduplication delivers fast backup and restore performance since the deduplication is a 'post backup' process.
