The Megger PAT150-DE does not need to be connected to the mains for all tests. However, for leakage testing, connecting the PAT150 to a 230 V AC supply will switch the test from a 40 V AC test to a mains-powered 230 V AC test.

Do you have a question about the PAT150-DE and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
does a megger pat tester 150 need to be connected to the mains to test Appliances
The Megger PAT150-DE does not need to be connected to the mains for all tests. However, for leakage testing, connecting the PAT150 to a 230 V AC supply will switch the test from a 40 V AC test to a mains-powered 230 V AC test.
