CAUTION:
Before replacing the system board, ensure that the power button cable is routed below the USB
board. If the power button cable is not routed and connected properly, the computer will not power on.
3. Align the screw holes on the system board with the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE:
Align the system board with the positioning pins on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE:
Align the heat sink to the top edge of the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Align the screw holes on the Type-C bracket with the screw holes on the system board.
5. Replace the two (M2x4) screws that secures the Type-C bracket to the system board.
6. Replace the (M2x2) screw that secures the left fan to the to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
7. Replace the five (M2x4) screws that secure the system board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
8. Open the latch and connect the display cable to the system board.
9. Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
10. Open the latch and connect the power-adapter port cable to the system board.
11. Connect the left fan cable to the system board.
12. Open the latch and connect the I/O-board cable to the system board.
13. Connect the speaker cable to the system board.
14. Open the latch and connect the keyboard cable to the system board.
15. Open the latch and connect the keyboard-backlight cable to the system board.
16. Open the latch and connect the touchpad cable to the system board.
17. Open the latch and disconnect the 4 zone keyboard cable from the system board (optional).
18. Connect the right fan cable to the system board.
19. Open the latch and connect the power-button cable to the USB board.

Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in
CAUTION:
For maximum cooling of the processor, do not touch the heat transfer areas on the heat sink. The
oils in your skin can reduce the heat transfer capability of the thermal grease.
NOTE:
The heat sink may become hot during normal operation. Allow sufficient time for the heat sink to cool before you
touch it.
