Getting Support for Your HP Notebook PC
Checking the build version
When you communicate with an HP support person, you may need to find out what
version of the software is installed on your computer. You can find information about the
build in the file version.inf, which is found in the root directory of your hard disk.
Double-click on the filename to see the information.
To see hidden files:
1. In My Computer, select View, Folder Options.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Under Hidden Files, choose "Show all files."
4. Click OK.
