AFETY PRECAUTIONS
Meanings of symbols displayed on indoor unit and/or outdoor unit
WARNING
This unit uses a fl ammable refrigerant.
If refrigerant leaks and comes in contact with fi re or heating part, it will cr eate harmful gas and there is risk of fi re.

Re ad the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS carefully before operation.
Service personnel are requir ed to carefully read the OPERATING INSTRUC TIONS and INSTALLATION MANUAL before operation.
Further information is available in the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, INSTALLATION MANUAL, and the like.
• Since rotating parts and parts which could cause an elect ric sho ck are used
in this product, be sure to read these "Safety Precautions" before use.
• Since the caution ary items shown here are imp ortant f or safety, be sure to
observe them.
• After reading th is manual, keep it togeth er with the installation man ual in a
handy place for easy reference.
• Be s ure to receive a guarantee car d from your dealer and c heck that the
purchased date and shop name , etc. are entered correct ly.
Marks and their meanings
Incorrect handling could cau se serious hazard, such as

WARNING
Do not connect the power cord to an intermediate point, use an
extension cord, or connect multiple devices to a single AC outlet.
• This may cau se overheating, fi re, or electric shock.
Make sure the power plug is free of dirt and insert it se-
curely into the outlet.
• A dirty plug may cause fire or electric shock.
Do not bundle, pull, damage, o r modify the po wer cord, and
d o not app ly heat o r place heavy objects on it.

Do not turn the br eaker OFF/ON or disconnect/connect the
p ower plug during operation.
• This may create sparks, which can cause fi re.
• After the indoor unit is switched OFF with the rem ote controlle r,
make sure to turn the breaker OFF or disconnect the power plug.
Do no texpos eyour body directly to cool air for a prolonged length of time.
• This could be detrimental to your health.
T he unit should not be installed, re located, d isassembled,
altered, or repaired by the user.
• An improperly handled air conditione r may cau se fi re, electric
shock, injury, or water leakag e, etc. Consult your dealer.
• If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or its service agent in order to avoid a hazard.

When installing, relocatin g, or servicing theun it, makesure
that no substan ce other than thespecifi ed refrigerant (R32)
enters the refrigerant circuit.
• Any presence of foreign substance such as air can cause
abnormal pressure rise and may result i nexplosion or injury.
• The use of any refrigerant other than t hat specifi ed for the
system will cause mechanical failure, system malfunction,
or unit breakdown. In the worst case, this could lead to a
serious impediment to securing produc t safety.
T his appliance is not intended for us e by persons (includ-
ing children) wi th reduced physical , sen sory or mental ca-
pabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or inst ruction concerning use
o f the appliance by a person r espo nsible for their safety.
Child ren should be supervised to ensu re that they do not
p lay with the ap pliance.
Donot insert your fi nger, a stick, or other objects into the air inletor outlet.
• This may cause injury, since the f an inside rotates at high
speeds during operation.
In case of an abnormal co ndition (such as aburning sm ell),
stop the air conditioner and disconnect the power plug or
turn the breaker OFF.
• A continued operation in the abnormal state may cause a mal-
function, fire, or electric shock. In this case, consult your dealer.
