Adjusting the white
balance manually
You can manually adjust and set the white
balance. This adjustment makes white subjects
look white and allows more natural colour
balance. Normally white balance is automatically
adjusted.
(1) In CAMERA or MEMORY mode, select a
desired WHT BAL in
(p. 130).
(2)Select the desired white balance mode in the
menu settings.
n (INDOOR) :
• Lighting condition changes quickly
• Too bright place such as photography
studios
• Under sodium lamps or mercury lamps
(OUTDOOR) :
• Recording a sunset/sunrise, just after sunset,
just before sunrise, neon signs, or fireworks
• Under a colour matching fluorescent lamp
HOLD :
Recording a single-coloured subject or
background
To return to the automatic white
balance mode
Set WHT BAL to AUTO in the menu settings.
If the picture is being taken in a studio lit by
TV lighting
We recommend that you record in the n indoor
mode.
When you record under fluorescent lighting
Use the automatic white balance or hold mode.
Your camcorder may not adjust the white
balance correctly in the n indoor mode.

Handmatig instellen
van de kleurbalans
U kunt de kleurbalans handmatig bijregelen en
vaststellen. Deze instelling dient om witte
onderwerpen ook zuiver wit op te nemen en om
zo natuurlijk mogelijke huidtinten te verkrijgen.
Gewoonlijk wordt de kleurbalans automatisch
ingesteld.
(1) Kies in de "CAMERA" of de "MEMORY"
stand de gewenste WHT BAL kleurbalans-
instelling onder
137).
(2) Regel de kleurbalans naar wens bij in het
instelmenu.
n (INDOOR binnenshuis-instelling):
• Voor snel wisselende lichtomstandigheden
• Onder te fel licht, zoals van studiolampen
• Onder een natriumlamp of kwiklamp
(OUTDOOR buitenshuis-instelling):
• Voor buitenopnamen bij opkomende/
ondergaande zon, vlak voor zonsopgang, bij
neonverlichting of vuurwerk
• Onder een fluorescerende daglichtlamp
HOLD vasthoud-stand:
Voor opnemen van een geheel éénkleurig
onderwerp of achtergrond

Terugkeren naar de automatische
kleurbalans-instelling
Kies in het instelmenu voor het onderdeel WHT
BAL de "AUTO" stand.
Bij opnemen onder felle studiolampen
Hierbij is het aanbevolen de n "INDOOR"
binnenshuis-kleurbalansinstelling in te
schakelen.
Bij opnemen onder fluorescerende lampen
Gebruik de automatische kleurbalans-instelling
of de "HOLD" vasthoud-stand. De camcorder zal
met de n "INDOOR" binnenshuis-
kleurbalansinstelling niet de juiste kleurbalans
kunnen bereiken.
