LONG-TERM STORAGE

During the winter, or any time the unit will not be used for several months at a
time, it is recommended that you follow these measures to keep your unit in
good shape.
• Drain the water tank by removing the drain plug from the bottom of the
back of the unit.
• Dry out any moisture buildup inside the unit by entering fan mode, then
pressing and holding the "speed" button for 5 seconds. The screen will show
"CL" to indicate that the unit is in cleaning mode. Let run in this mode for 2-3
hours to completely dry out the internal components.
• Turn off the unit and unplug the power cord.
• Wind the power cord around the cord wrapping brackets on the back of the
unit.
• Remove the exhaust pipe, clean out any dust built up inside, and compress it
before storing in a location free from dust.
• Cover the air conditioner (and exhaust kit) with a plastic bag or a large sheet
to prevent dust buildup.
• Remove the batteries from the remote control and store them or dispose of
them properly.
