  • Page 20 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t CORRECT SHOULDER STRAPS HEIGHT Always check that the shoulder straps are at the correct height for your child. The child's shoulders should always be below the slot for the harness.

  • Page 22 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t CHANGING THE SHOULDER STRAP HEIGHT Firstly release the strap holding the backrest cover on to gain access to the harness. Slide one of the harness straps off the harness connector. Then from the front of the seat, pull the harness through the slot in the backrest and fabric cover.
  • Page 23 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t CHANGING THE SHOULDER STRAP HEIGHT Re-thread the harness strap back onto the harness connector at the back of the seat. Repeat the same process for the other harness strap. Make sure both of the straps go through the slots at the same height.

    E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t INSTALLING THE SEAT Step 1. Place the child safety seat on the vehicle seat ensuring it is firmly pressed against the vehicle backrest.
  • Page 25 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t Step 2. Pull the vehicle belt out as far as possible. Thread the vehicle belt through the seat belt route slot in the seat’s plas�c backrest furthest from the car’s seat belt buckle, and then out through the other seat route slot and fasten it...
  • Page 26 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t Step 3. Check the car seat belt has not become twisted or tangled and that the lap belt goes under the armrest and the diagonal on the side of the backrest.
  • Page 27 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t Step 4. Place your knee on the base of the child car seat and grip the top of the vehicle seat belt. Pull the seat belt upwards to �ghten the seat belt.
  • Page 28 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t Step 5. To finish, �ghten the harness by pulling the diagonal strap upwards un�l there is no slack and the seat is held firmly in place. Now you can strap your child into the seat.
  • Page 29 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t TIGHTENING THE HARNESS Pull the shoulder straps upwards to remove the slack from the lap sec�ons of the harness then pull the adjuster strap un�l the harness is fully �ghtened.

    E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t TIGHTENING THE HARNESS Ensure that the lap strap por�on of the harness is located as low as possible towards the thighs and not around the stomach. A loose harness can be dangerous.
  • Page 31 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t LOOSENING THE HARNESS The harness is loosened by pressing the lever (under the seat cover) on the front of the seat. Press down on the label marked press as you grip the two shoulder straps with your other hand.
  • Page 32 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t FASTENING THE SAFETY SEAT BUCKLE Step 1. Slot the two metal sec�ons of the buckle connectors together. Step 2. Slot the two buckle connectors into the slot in the top of the buckle un�l they click into place.

Slide both of the harness straps off the harness connector at the back of the backrest and pull the webbing through the slots in the seat backrest and fabric cover.
  • Page 37 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t REMOVING THE SAFETY HARNESS LAP STRAPS Turn the webbing retainers on their narrowest end and feed them though the slots in the base of the seat and then through the slots in the fabric cover.
  • Page 38 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t ADJUST THE HEADREST HEIGHT The headrest can be adjusted up and down, to a suitable height for the child. Step 1. Put one hand on the backrest.

  • Page 45 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t Installing the seat Remove the backrest. To remove the backrest simply follow the process below.
  • Page 46 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t Step 1. Place the seat forward facing in the vehicle, ensuring it is pushed firmly into the vehicle seat and sit your child on the seat. Step 2.
  • Page 47 E S T - 2 1 5 C a r S e a t Step 3. Now, pull the seat-belt forward away from your child, keeping hold of the seat-belt at the posi�on where it crossed your child’s shoulder. Step 4. Remove any slack from the seat belt. Your child should now be secure.

Do not put the car seat in a seat fi�ed with an airbag. Check the car seat is facing forwards in the vehicle in the direc�on of the travel.
