Open the cover and adjust the length.

Close the cover.

Make sure the cover is fully closed.

Turn the lens hood counterclockwise to detach it.

Rotate the lens hood clockwise until it clicks to fit
into place.

Be sure to attach the lens hood cap to protect the
lens when not in use.
