If you see no flash and the yellow READY light
blinks rapidly, the skin color warning light warns you
that your skin color is too dark for safe treatment.
Try using the device on a different body part. For
assistance, please visit www.philips.com/support or
call 1-800-243-7884.

After emitting a flash, Philips Lumea Comfort
recharges immediately for the next flash.
Recharging takes a few seconds, depending
on the intensity level set. When recharging is
finished, the READY light turns on again.
7
Move the skin contact surface to another area
of skin. When there is full skin contact, the
READY light starts blinking slowly again.
Be careful not to treat the same area of skin more
than once per treatment session! Treating the same
area of skin more than once per session increases
the likelihood of adverse effects.
8
Repeat the process, starting at step 5.
Intensity level
The intensity level setting determines the intensity
of the flash delivered to your skin. There are 5 levels,
from the lowest (1) to the highest (5).
Corresponding intensity lights show the intensity
selected. As the intensity level increases, so do the
hair removal results and the risk of possible side
effects and complications.
Always start using Philips Lumea Comfort at the
lowest intensity level.
If you experience little or no discomfort during and
after your first hair removal session at the lowest
intensity level, raise the intensity level by 1 intensity
light at the next session. Do the same for each
subsequent session until you reach the highest
intensity that feels comfortable.
