Hardware Installation
2.8.2. JP2: USB1/2 Wake-up (optional)
Type:
3 pin
Default:
Pin 1 and Pin 2 short
This jumper allows you to wake up your system from STR (S3) by using your
USB keyboard. If you short Pin 1 and Pin 2 then the "USB1/2 Wake-up"
function will be disabled. If Pin 2 and Pin 3 are shorted then the "USB1/2
Wake-up" function will be enabled. If you choose to enable this option then
you need to set in the BIOS setup.
2.8.3. JP3: STR (S3) Function (optional)
Type:
2 pin
Default:
Open
When the system is in suspend mode, the Suspend to RAM allows the system /
application state to be saved in the RAM. When this mode is activated very
little power is used by the system. It is almost as if the system has been
turned off completely. When a user reactivates the system, it will rapidly wake
up to the previous state and the long boot phase can be avoided.
2.8.4. JP4: CPU PSB (Processor System Bus) Clock Selection
(This jumper only available for 845G-MWT)
Type:
3 pin
Default:
Pin 1 and Pin 2 short
This jumper allows you to select the CPU PSB Clock speed. If Pin 1 and Pin 2
are left in the default settings (pin 1 and pin 2 short) then the mainboard will
automatically detect the PSB Clock speed. If Pin 2 and Pin 3 are short then the
PSB will be forced to be 400 MHz. If all the pins are left open then the PSB will
be forced to be 533 MHz.
