Verify that the tanks have step down regulators to reduce the pressure to safe levels. The appliance and its appliance main gas valve must be disconnected from the gas supply piping system during any pressure testing of that system at test pressures in excess of 1/2 psi (3.5 kPa).

Upper logs rest on lower logs via notches/tabs. Proper log placement is critical to prevent sooting. Place the logs in the gaps between flame peaks, so they do not impinge the flames.

Visually inspect the gasket on the backside of the glass door. NOTE: The gasket surface must be clean, free of irregularities, and seated firmly. Ensure it is properly located. Make sure the bead is not rolled into the channel at the top of the door, but remains flat against the top of the glass.
