It is important that your Win- dows COM port settings conform to the actual hardware settings. Table 3-1 provides a listing of standard COM port settings for most IBM AT-Compatible computers.

This is useful for determining the location of faults, connec- tions, and other discontinuities within the cable. To transform a plot, select Fault Find from the Tools menu (or click the toolbar button).
