This function enables you to search and confirm the contents of the
recorded programme(s) using the index mark.
• The tape must be fully rewound.
To skip to the beginning of next programme

The Quick-Find is cancelled.
Hint
• This function will not operate in the Recording mode.
• When you want to cancel the Quick-Find while in progress, press
STOP C.
• When the end of a tape is reached during the Quick-Find, the
tape will automatically rewind to the beginning. After rewinding
finishes, the VCR/DVD will eject the tape.
Recording & OTR (One Touch Recording)
This function enables you to set the duration of a recording simply by pressing REC/OTR.
Before: Turn on the TV and select an appropriate external input mode on the TV until the VCR/DVD's picture appears.

Refer to page 7 to switch between the VCR mode and the DVD mode.

You can select a fixed recording time by
pressing REC/OTR repeatedly.

Recording stops when 0:00 is reached.
•
To check remaining time during an OTR, press DISPLAY.
•
To change the recording length during an OTR, press REC/OTR
repeatedly until the desired length appears.
•
To cancel the OTR but continue recording, press REC/OTR repeatedly
appears without the recording length.

When all timer recording is finished, the VCR/DVD will automatically
rewind the tape to the beginning where it started recording.
If there are any remaining programmes including Daily, Everyday and
Weekly, Auto Return will not operate.
Select "SET UP".

Press TIMER ON/OFF to cancel the timer standby. Then, select VCR
mode by pressing VCR on the remote control. Press PLAY B.

Assemble Function
You can record in continuation from previous programme on a pre-
recorded tape.
LP Mode
1. Insert a pre-recorded tape. Press PLAY B to start playback.

2. Press STILL/PAUSE F at the desired point on the tape.

3. Press REC/OTR. The VCR/DVD will be the Recording Pause mode.

4. Press CH K / L to select the channel to be recorded.
5. Press REC/OTR or STILL/PAUSE F. The recording will begin.
6. Press STOP C when recording is completed.

Accidental erasure prevention

To prevent accidental recording on a
recorded cassette, remove its erase-protection tab.
To record on it later, cover the hole with
plastic tape.
To stop recording temporarily (Pause mode)

Press STILL/PAUSE F.
• During the Recording Pause mode, 5 C marks appear on the TV
.
screen. Each C mark represents 1 minute. After 5 minutes, the VCR
will automatically switch to the stop mode to prevent tape damage.
