Your Bonsaii C149-C shredder may stop working due to the following reasons:
1. Dirty or Blocked Sensor: Paper dust or debris may obstruct the sensor. Clean the sensor area with a soft, dry cloth after turning off and unplugging the shredder.
2. Basket Not Properly Installed: If the shredder head is not securely attached to the basket, it will not operate. Ensure proper alignment and that the basket is not overfilled.
3. Paper Jam: Overloading or inserting improper materials can cause a jam. Move the control to the “REV” position for 3–5 seconds to clear the jam.
4. Overheating: If the shredder exceeds its duty cycle, it may overheat. Check for an overheat indicator, switch off and unplug the shredder, and let it cool down before restarting.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, seek technical support or service.
