11 Testing the Blower and Battery

► Slide the unlocking slide (1) with your thumb in
the direction of the blower tube and keep it
held.
► Squeeze and hold the trigger (2) with your
index finger.
The blower accelerates and air flows out of the
nozzle. The release slide (1) can be released.
The further the trigger switch (2) is depressed,
the more air flows out of the nozzle.
If the ergo lever (3) is pressed, the trigger switch
(2) remains unlocked. This means the trigger can
be released and depressed again without having
to push the release slide in the direction of the
blower tube.
If the trigger switch (2) and the ergo lever (3) are
released, the trigger switch (2) is locked. The
unlocking slide (1) must be slid in the direction of
the blower tube once more and held, to unlock
the trigger switch (2).
10.2 Switching Off
► Release the trigger.
No air flows from the nozzle.
► If air continues to flow from nozzle: Remove
the battery and contact your STIHL servicing
dealer.
Blower has a malfunction.

11.1 Checking the controls
Release slide, Ergo lever and trigger
► Remove the battery.
► Try squeezing the trigger switch without acti‐
vating the release slide.
► If the trigger switch can be squeezed: Do not
use the blower. Consult a STIHL servicing
dealer.
The release slide is faulty.
► Slide the unlocking slide with the thumb in the
direction of the blower tube and keep it held.
► Press and hold Ergo lever.
► Press the trigger.
The release slide can be released.
► Release the trigger and the Ergo lever.
► If release slide, trigger or Ergo lever is stiff or
does not spring back to the initial position:
Stop using the blower and contact a STIHL
dealer.
The release slide, trigger or the Ergo lever is
defective.

Switching On the Blower
► Insert battery.
► Push unlocking slide towards the blower tube
and hold in place.
► Press and hold the trigger.
Air flows out of the nozzle.
► If 3 LEDs flash red: Remove the battery and
consult a STIHL dealer.
There is a fault in the blower.
► Release the trigger.
Air stops flowing out of the nozzle.
► If air continues to flow out of the nozzle:
Remove the battery and consult a STIHL serv‐
icing dealer.
The blower is faulty.
11.2 Testing the Battery
► Press button on battery.
The LEDs glow or flash.
► If the LEDs do not glow or flash: Do not use
the battery and contact your STIHL servicing
dealer.
There is a malfunction in the battery.

12 Operating the Blower

12.1 Holding and Guiding the
Blower
► Hold and guide the blower by the control han‐
dle with one hand, wrapping your thumb
around the control handle.
12.2 Blowing
► Point the nozzle at the ground.
► Move forward slowly, in a controlled manner.
