Congratulations on the purchase of your new attachment! Before you get started, we have provided a helpful space to jot down a few important details: Model number: WPH130 / WPH170 Serial number: Date of purchase: Factory reference: LXG130 / LXG170 This manual should be considered a permanent part of this attachment and therefore should remain with it even if the attachment is subsequently sold.
Safety Information Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. Read and understand this manual fully before operating machinery. Failure to follow all safety standards can result in severe injury or death. This attachment is for use with compact tractors only.

Safety Information (Continued) Attachment Pre-use Checks Upon receipt of attachment, and again within the first 4 hours of use: Check/tighten all bolts, nuts and screws (and those securing blades). Check the tension of any belt(s), and adjust if required. Apply grease to grease points if necessary. Tractor &...
Installation Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. Position the tractor on flat ground, lower the tractor’s 3-point linkage to its lowest position, then attach the power harrow to the tractor using the 3-point linkage pins and linch pins.
Operating Instructions This power harrow is designed for tilling soil and preparing seed beds. Moisture remains in the soil since the soil is not turned up as it is tilled, and the vertically rotating cutters prevent soil compaction. Keep spectators at a safe distance (at least 10m away). Ensure the working area is clear of large stones/debris so the soil can be tilled correctly and to prevent damage/premature wear on the blades.
Blade Replacement Take care when handling blades, wear gloves and use suitable tools. Ensure the power harrow is supported and stable before carrying out any maintenance. Each blade carrier has the same directional blade; either 2x left blades or 2x right blades according to whether the carrier spins clockwise or anti- clockwise.
Roller Adjustment Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. Adjust the working depth through the rear roller to suit different ground conditions. For dense/compact areas of soil, set the tiller at a higher setting to reduce the working depth.

Gearbox Oil Change & Check Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. Do not mix old and new oils together, or mix different oil types. Always dispose of oils correctly and safely.
Gear Reservoir Oil Change Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. The lubricant in the gear reservoir ensures each of the gears driving the blades work smoothly whilst reducing noise levels.
Servicing & Maintenance Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. Store all lubricants away from excessive heat, dust, moisture and contaminants. Grease type: Multi-purpose lithium-based grease Grease frequency: Check every 4-8 hours (top-up if required) Greasing &...

Servicing & Maintenance (Continued) Apply grease to each of the blade bearing units (B). There is a grease point on the top of each blade seat, and the number will vary dependent on machine width. Other Maintenance • Check condition of blades and replace if worn/broken, ensure blades are secure to avoid excessive vibration.

Blade Layout The power harrow has several blade seats, these are all geared and rotate alternating clockwise or anti-clockwise from the main drive blade seat (1) under the gearbox. Each blade carrier has the same directional blade fitted. So either 2x left blades or 2x right blades are bolted on dependent on whether the carrier spins clockwise or anti-clockwise underneath the machine.
Attaching & Resizing PTO Shaft Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment are stationary with the ignition key removed. Ensure all safety guards are in place and cover the PTO shaft when extended, ensure the sprung locking collar slides freely and is securely in the groove on the PTO.
Terms & Conditions All products purchased as new are covered under our 12 month warranty from the date of purchase. During this period Winton will repair or replace defective parts free of charge. This warranty is given on the proviso that the product has been used and maintained according to the Owners Manual.
