Safety Information (Continued) Attachment Pre-use Checks Upon receipt of your new attachment and again within the first 4 hours of use (the ‘shake in’ period), we recommend the following: Check/tighten all bolts, nuts and screws (and those securing blades). Check the tension of any belt(s), and adjust if required. Apply grease to grease points if necessary.
Installation Before installation/maintenance, the tractor and attachment should be stationary with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. You will need to refer to Components Diagram opposite on page 8 and Installation Diagram 10 Steps on page 9. You will also require a second person to assist with installation.

Step 7: Connect the PTO drive shaft to the gear box (C) and the other end to the tractor PTO. Check that it correctly meshes at both ends. Always cou- ple the two ends of the driveline and check they are locked in place. Com- pletely insert the sprung lock pins into the grooves in the PTO shaft on both the tractor and attachment sides.
Operating Instructions For compacted ground and denser soil types, operate the attachment at a slower speed to achieve the best finish and to avoid any damage to the attachment. Lower the tractor lift arms until the blades are near the ground, without touching the ground.
Auger Blade & Tip Replacement Before installation/maintenance, the tractor and attachment should be stationary with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. You may wish to remove the auger from the attachment to change the blades.
Gear Oil Change & Check Before installation/maintenance, the tractor and attachment should be stationary with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for oils and lubricants. Do not mix old and new oils together, or mix different oil types. Always dispose of oils correctly and safely.
Servicing & Maintenance Store all lubricants away from excessive heat, dust, moisture and contaminants. Before maintenance, the tractor and attachment should be stationary with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and the ignition key removed. Wipe grease nipples with a clean cloth before greasing to avoid injecting any dirt/grit.
Attaching & Resizing PTO Shaft Before installation/maintenance, the tractor and attachment should be stationary with the ignition key removed. Ensure all safety guards are in place and cover the PTO shaft when extended, ensure the sprung locking collar slides freely and is securely in the groove on the PTO.
Terms & Conditions All products purchased as new are covered under our 12 month warranty from the date of purchase. During this period Winton will repair or replace defective parts free of charge.
