6. Starter pulley ass'y, clutch ass'y and magneto rotor
(1) Disassembly
To remove the starter pulley, lightly hit the starter pulley to turn it counterclockwise while holding the
Magneto Rotor [122]. To remove the Clutch [119], loosen the two Step Bolts [117].
To remove the Magneto Rotor [122], remove the Fly Wheel Nut [121], and then use the special
magneto rotor assembly remover to pull out the Magneto Rotor [122].
(2) Reassembly
Before mounting the Magneto Rotor [122] in the crank shaft assembly, degrease the engaging sections.
Attach the Clutch [119] to the Magneto Rotor [122] so that the arrow mark on the side of the Clutch
[119] can be seen.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the Piston [51], be sure to remove or mount the starter pulley,
Clutch [119], and Magneto Rotor [122] with the Crank Case FW [59], Crank Case ST
[64] and Cylinder (A) [38] assembled.
