WARNING
Turn off gas to the appliance and make sure it is cool prior to conducting service.

The firebacks should be installed while
finalizing the installation (before installing
the logs). Remove the glass frame.
Remove the grate and place it aside (2
screws hold it in place - see the installation
manual for details).

Remove the 8 fireback clips inside the
firebox. These clips have keyhole slots that
allow them to be removed without removing
the screws (see illustration below).
Enamel Black Firebacks Only
Remove the rear log shelf (4 screws hold it in place). After the rear firebacks are in place, replace the log
shelf.
