The high pressure hose is a consumable item. Even if the hose appears to be in good condition, it is possible internal damage such as pin holes or scars have occurred. Riken recommends periodic replacement based upon how frequently hoses have been used combined with specific application conditions, even if the life span has not fully expired.
This pump is designed for indoor use. Do not use it in any place that may be exposed to rainwater. The ambient temperature should be between 0 and 40°C. For peripheral hydraulic equipment, use RIKEN‘s genuine product. Use high pressure hoses, high pressure pipes and fittings with a maximum operating pressure of 70 MPa.

Approximate weight 50 kg Working oil ISO VG32 hydraulic fluid ( categorized as a hazardous material of Class 4, type-4 petroleum ) (RIKEN POWER OIL) Life time Some parts need replacement after approximately 500 hours of continuous operation at 70 MPa.
Consult RIKEN or RIKEN’s authorized agents if these kinds of unapproved oils are used. Ensure that the oil level is lower than the maximum level line of the oil gauge when adding oil to the oil tank.
5 Installation Method Caution Ensure to screw 4 eye bolts (Hanging bolt) into the application thoroughly before hanging the pump. Be sure to be careful to prevent a hanging tool from causing damage or failure on the application when hanging the pump. Warning Do not hang the oil tank with ropes hooked on the side handles of the tank.
When using a one-touch coupler of the ROC-13 series, align the concave ring portion of the ROC- ROC-13H ROC-13R 13H coupler with the notch. Then, while pulling the リング Ring ring, insert the ROC-13H coupler until it touches the ROC-13R coupler and release the ring. The coupler is automatically locked and connected.
(B) When using a high-pressure pipe Loosen 1 回 転 If a high-pressure pipe is used, connect an air release one turn 緩 め る Set screw セ ッ ト ビ ス valve (SV-1000) to the tip of the pipe. SV-1000 a) Loosen the set screw of the air release valve by one turn.
Consult RIKEN or RIKEN’s authorized agents if these kinds of unapproved oils are used. Ensure that the oil level is lower than the maximum level line of the oil gauge when adding oil to the oil tank.

(3) Operating method This switch stops the motor when the pressure rises to the set pressure, and restarts it automatically when the pressure drops to the set differential pressure (which is factory-set to 5 MPa). When using this feature as a safety mechanism, specify a set pressure 3 to 5 MPa higher than the operating pressure.
9 Operation Method (1) EMP-5B The EMP-5B is equipped with a manual three-way poppet valve (EHV-3). When the lever is tightened, the tank port closes so that the hydraulic oil is discharged. When it is loosened, the tank port opens so that the oil returns to the oil tank. Example of use with a single-acting cylinder (spring return type) Connect the discharge port and cylinder using a high-pressure hose.
(3) EMP-5SL The directional control valve installed in the EMP-5SL is a four-way, two-position solenoid directional valve (ESL-4S). The hydraulic oil discharged from the pump is discharged to Port A when the lever is at the normal position or to Port B when the solenoid (SOL b) is magnetized.
(4) EMP-5SW The directional control valve installed in the EMP-5SW is a four-way, three-position solenoid directional valve (ESW-4H). When the lever is at the center position, the hydraulic oil discharged from the pump returns to the oil tank. The oil is discharged to Port A when the solenoid (SOL a) located at the right seen from the front of the pump is magnetized or to Port B when the left solenoid (SOL b) is magnetized.
10 Adjusting the High-pressure Safety Valve The high-pressure safety valve is factory-set to 73 MPa. To readjust it, perform the following steps: (1) Stop the motor and loosen the lever of the directional control valve. (2) Remove the hexagon socket head cap screw (92) and turn the adjustment screw (22) inside the oil tank counterclockwise using a screw driver to loosen (3) Disconnect the high pressure hose (or the fitting)

Check whether rotate. the grounding wire, one of the connection is correct. the four wires of the power cable, is mistakenly connected to the power source.

14 Handling the High-pressure Hose * Safety Precautions Use a 70MPa high pressure hose from Riken that bears the brand name "RIKEN." Use the hose with the specified minimum bend radius (R) or larger. Install the hose so that the bend radius is always kept at the specified minimum bend radius (R) or larger even when the hose is supposed to move.
