Scratches or dark stains on the
glass ceramic that cannot be
removed do not affect the
functioning of the appliance.
Removing the residues and stubborn
residues
Food containing sugar, plastics, or tin foil
residues should be removed at once. A
scraper is the best tool for cleaning the glass
surface. It is not supplied with the appliance.

What to do if...
Problem
The appliance cannot be acti‐
vated or is not operating.
Acoustic signal sounds, appli‐
ance deactivates.
Display is switching between
two power settings.
The residual heat indicator is
not displaying anything.
Place a scraper on the hob surface at an
angle and remove residues by sliding the
blade over the surface. Clean the appliance
using a damp cloth and some dish soap.
Finally, wipe the glass surface dry with a
clean cloth.
Limescale rings, water rings, fat splashes, or
shiny metallic discolourations should be
removed after the appliance has cooled
down. Use only a specialised cleaner for
glass ceramic or stainless steel.
Possible cause
The appliance is not connec‐
ted to an electrical supply or
it is connected incorrectly.
More than 10 seconds passed
since you activated the appli‐
ance.
The Child Safety Device or
the Lock is on
.
Several symbols were
touched at the same time.
One or more symbols have
been covered for longer than
10 seconds.
Power exchange function is
reducing the power of this
cooking zone.
The cooking zone was only
on for a short time and is
therefore not hot.
Remedy
Check if the appliance is cor‐
rectly connected to the elec‐
trical supply. Ensure a correct
installation by calling an au‐
thorised installer.
Activate the appliance again.
Deactivate the Child Safety
Device (See the section "Child
Safety Device" or "Lock").
Touch only one symbol.
Uncover symbols.
See the section "Power ex‐
change function".
If the cooking zone is sup‐
posed to be hot, call the After
Sales Service.
