The system then asks the user to specify the type of install:
If the programs are installed for all users, the "All Users" folder is used to store files
and data. Users need read and write permissions for this folder. If very strict security
policies are in place, then access to the All Users folder may not have been granted to
all users.
If the programs are "...installed only for me", the data folder of the logged-in user is
used as the folder for files and data (except if setup was run as an administrator,
when the admin's document folder is used – in this case, always select "...for all
users"). This variant will have to be chosen if directory access has not been granted to
all users.
Restoring an old configuration backup is possible only for the REA VeriCube verifier
model. If an old dataset with calibrated data is available, this is re-imported into the
new installation if the configuration backup option was checked while uninstalling the
old version. The REA MLV-2D stores this data on the device itself and therefore does
need such a function.
