Module Handling Precautions

Be sure to follow the safety precautions listed below. YOKOGAWA assumes no liability for the customer's
failure to comply with these requirements. For information about how to install and uninstall modules and the
specifications of the modules, see the user's manual of the PX8000 (hereafter referred to as "the instrument").
• To prevent electric shock and damage to the instrument, turn the instrument's power switch off
first, and then install or uninstall modules.
• Check that input cables are not connected to input terminals before installing or uninstalling
modules.
• To prevent electric shock and to ensure that the specifications of the instrument are met, attach
the supplied cover panels to the unused slots on the instrument. If you use the instrument
without covering empty slots with cover panels, the instrument may malfunction due to dust
build-up or overheating.
• If a module comes out of a slot when you are using the instrument, electric shock or damage
to the instrument or module may result. Be sure to fasten the top and bottom screws of the
module before use.
Torque for tightening the screws: 0.6 N•m
• Do not apply a voltage that exceeds the maximum input voltage, withstand voltage, or allowable
surge voltage.
• To prevent electric shock, properly connect the instrument's protective earth ground.
• To prevent electric shock, be sure to fasten the module screws. Otherwise, the electrical and
mechanical protection functions will not be activated.
• Do not leave the modules connected to the instrument in environments in which a voltage surge
may occur.

surtension maximale admissible.
