Image and Video Recording

9.1 Image and Video Basics

The VS80 allows you to capture still images (.jpg) and video (.mov). Press the
image capture button
to save still images and press the video record but-
ton
to start/stop video recording.
With a connected microphone, you can record narration audio with videos.
See the Specifications (Section 16) for image and video file resolution
information.
Media are stored on the supplied micro SD card (inserted in the right-side
compartment). For information regarding the number of images and length of
video that can fit on a variety of SD card sizes, see the Specifications (Section
16).
Images and video can be downloaded to a PC using the USB connector at
the top of the VS80, see Sections 9.6 and 13.

9.2 Media Gallery

Once images and video are recorded you can view them directly in the VS80
media gallery by pressing the Gallery button
. In the gallery, tap the Image
icon
or the Video icon
, to select a media type to browse. Tap a thumb-
nail to open the image or video. Refer to the call-out below for more details.

1. If the timestamp option is enabled in the Settings menu, media will include
the date and time.
2. Selected thumbnail's filename.
