Red-Eye Reduction Mode

If you shoot a subject in a dark place with the flash activated, the eyes of the
subject may appear red in the resultant picture. In red-eye reduction mode, the
flash will fire several times before the shutter releases to lessen the red-eye
phenomenon.
q Set the mode dial to [
the MENU button.
w Press the
[REDEYE REDUCTION].
e Press the
[ON] and press the ENTER button.
r Press the MENU button.
will be displayed on the LCD panel or
LCD monitor.
t Press the shutter release button to
shoot the image.
When you press the shutter release button,
the flash will fire several times in succession
preliminarily before firing when the shutter
releases.
Important
Note
• The shutter takes about 1 second to
release after you press the shutter
button. Hold the camera steady
meanwhile to shoot the picture.
• You cannot use the redeye reduction mode when the flash mode is set
