Capturing the Moment Shooting
(Full-press)
The shutter release button works in two steps.
There are two methods of using the shutter button; pressing the
shutter button all the way down at once (full-press) and pressing it
halfway (half-press).
Full-press the shutter release button for quick focusing, so as not
to miss a shooting opportunity.
1.
Press the Power button to turn the camera on.
For how to turn the power on, see P.22.
2.
Switch the Mode Selector to 5.
3.
Compose your shot by looking at
the LCD Monitor.
4.
Make sure the subject is centered
on the screen, and gently press
the shutter release button fully.
Note
• The still image you have taken freezes for a moment on the LCD Monitor and is recorded. (P.119)
• Full-press is apt to cause the camera to shake. Hold the camera firmly with both hands and
shoot.
