Avoid any quick month corrections on the 30th
and / or quick date and month corrections
between 20:00 and 05:00; this could damage the
mechanism.
Quick date and month correction
NB: for any correction, the hands must be
positioned at 12 noon.
Pull the crown out to position 3.
To change the date, move the hands forward by
turning the crown backward. Continue to turn the
crown to position the hands at 12 noon.
Push the crown back into position 2.
Turn the crown backward until the first (1) of the
month is displayed, and then turn the crown forward
to the desired month display.
Then turn it backward again to the desired date
display.
Pull the crown out to position 3.
COMPLICATIONS – L897
Bearing in mind that the hands are already
positioned at 12 noon, turn the crown forward to
adjust the desired time to before 12 noon (night and
morning), and backward for afternoon and evening.
Push the crown back into position 1.
A date correction is required at the end of every
February. This correction can be made by moving
the hands forward, with the crown in position 3.
Setting the time and stop seconds
Pull the crown out to position 3 when the seconds
hand is at 60. Turn the crown either way to the
desired time display. As soon as the time is
synchronised, push the crown back into position 1.
If you have not been wearing your mechanical
watch, it needs to be wound manually through thirty
revolutions or so.
