16. Cooker Hood Trouble shooting
Cause
Block of a flapp of the one-way
valve
The capacitor is damaged
Motor bracket defective / jams
Suspicious smell from the motor
Beside the above mentioned actions, check the following:
Light damaged
No power, device cable not
properly connected
One-way valve leaking
Leakage from the junction of the
chimney with the hood body
A flap of the on-wey valve is
damaged and causing vibrations
The motor is not tightly mounted
The hood is not tightly fixed
The distance between the hood
and the hob is too big
Too much air flow from open doors
or windows
Mounting bracket not firmly fixed
Hood fastening screws not firmly
tightened
Eliminate the blocking or
replace the one-way valve
Replace lights
Check fuse, connect cable
correctly (electric diagram)
Seal with glue the one-way
valve properly
Seal the junction with suitable
means
Replace the complete one-
way valve
Fix the hood tightly
Fix the hood tightly
Lower the position of the hood
Close windows and doors
Tighten the screws on the
mounting bracket securely
Tighten the fastening screws
