To ensure the optimal lifetime of the appliance, it is necessary to allow its internal
components to be rinsed out several times with hot water prior to first use.
1. Remove the outer drip tray and place a mug or bowl underneath the brewing head to
dispense water.
2. Press Hot water button once. The button will light up, and the espresso maker will
start dispensing hot water.
3. The espresso maker will automatically stop dispensing hot water.
4. To thoroughly rinse out the internal components, we recommend that the process is
repeated 3 to 4 times.
5. When the rinsing process is finished, pour the water out of the mug or bowl. Be
especially careful since the water is very hot. Install the outer drip tray back in place.
Refill the water in the water tank as necessary.
6. Refer to "Manual Rinsing" section for further details.
Attention: The espresso maker will perform auto rinsing once it switches on, this is
to clean inside of the espresso maker before usages. During the auto-rinsing, around
30ml hot water will be poured out. The auto rinsing would not appear if the appliance
is just switch off for a while.
Espresso or Lungo Brewing
1. Switch on the appliance by pressing the power on/off button.
2. The appliance is then in the standby condition.
3. Place a cup under the coffee spout and adjust the height of the spout to fit the cup.
Depending on the size of the cup (too tall or too wide) you can remove the drip tray or
adjust the position of the drip tray as below:
4. The Espresso or lungo button being pressed will light on and the illuminator will light
up indicating that the appliance is preparing the cup of coffee.
5. When the appliance is back to standby condition, the coffee is ready to serve.
Note: Press the hot water button to clean inside of the coffee maker before first use.
