To remove the battery c a rtridge, s l ide it from the pump
while s l iding the button on the front of the c a rtridge.
To ins t all the battery c a rtridge, align the tongue on the
battery c a rtridge with the groov e in the hous i ng and s l ip
it into plac e . Ins e rt it all the way until it loc k s
a little c l ic k .
If y o u c a n s e e the red indic a tor on the upper
s i de of the button, it is not loc k e d c o mpletely.
CAUTION:
Always install the battery cartridge
fully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not, it
may accidentally fall out of the pump, causing injury to
y o u or s o meone around y o u.
CAUTION:
Do not install the battery cartridge
forcibly. If the c a rtridge does not s l ide in eas i ly, it is not
being ins e rted c o rrec t ly.
Battery protection system
The pump or battery is equipped with a battery protec t ion
s y s t
em. This s y s t
em automatic a lly c u ts off power to the
motor to ex t end battery life.
The pump will automatic a lly s t op during operation if the
pump and/or battery are plac e d under one of the following
c o nditions :
Overloaded:
The pump or battery is operated in a manner that c a us e s
it to draw an abnormally high c u rrent.
In this s i tuation, turn the pump off and s t op the applic a tion
that c a us e d the pump to bec o me ov e rloaded. Then turn
the pump on to res t art.
If the pump does not s t art, the battery is ov e rheated.
In this s i tuation, let the battery c o ol before turning the
pump on again.
Low battery voltage:
The remaining battery c a pac i ty is too low and the pump
will not operate. In this s i tuation, remov e and rec h arge
the battery.

NOTE: Depending on the c o nditions of us e and the
ambient temperature, the indic a tion may differ s l ightly

NOTE: The first(far left) indicator lamp will brink when
the battery protec t ion s y s t
OPERATION
The pump does not c o ntain oil when newly purc h as e d.
Refer to "Adding oil" and add oil.
WARNING:
condition without oil added will damage the pump.
In addition, the oil tank will bec o me hot and may res u lt
in burns or other ac c i dents .
Adding oil

Remove the oil fill/exhaust cap and add the supplied
oil via the filler port.
NOTICE:
Alway s us e Mak i ta genuine oil in order to
maintain pump performanc e .

Add oil until the oil lev e l is between the upper and
lower lev e l lines of the s i ght glas s .
NOTICE:
The oil lev e l is important. Operating the
pump in the c o ndition with the oil lev e l not between the
upper and lower lev e l lines may res u lt in malfunc t ion.

intak e port of the pump with a c h arging hos e .

Clos e the low s i de v a lv e of the manifold.

Turn the pump on. If the pres s u re of the manifold
indic a tes a v a c u um of -0.09 to -0.1 MPa within
30 s e c o nds , the pump is operating properly.
4.
Turn the pump off.
