to use it safely and efficiently.
It is essential that these individuals read and fully
understand this manual before starting any work.
The basic prerequisite for safe working is to comply
with the safety notes and all instructions in this
manual.
The local regulations for health and safety at work
and general safety regulations also apply.

Splitter sound attenuators and sound attenuator
splitters are used to reduce fan and air-generated
noise in ventilation and air-conditioning systems,
e.g., in AHUs or ducts.

Use in potentially explosive atmos-
pheres according to EU Directive 2014/34/EU
(ATEX)
Splitter sound attenuators of the types XS and
MS, as well as sound attenuator splitters of the
types XK, MK and RK, may be used in Ex-areas
of zone 1, 2 and zone 21, 22 (outside) according
to Directive 1999/92/EC.
Observe the following instructions for use:
–
Maximum operating temperature 100 °C
–
Maximum airflow velocity up to 20 m/s
–
Electrically connect the sound attenuator
splitter with the casing.
–
Earth the splitter sound attenuator!
–
To prevent dust deposits, clean sound
attenuators and splitters regularly!
–
When cleaning, ensure that the sound
attenuator / sound attenuator splitter does
not become statically charged!
