PROBLEM

FAULT
COMPRESSOR HEATER
WON'T ENERGIZE
YORK INTERNATIONAL
CAUSE
1. Fault discharge temp sensor.
2. Low oil flow to compressor.
3. Liquid injection not working.
4. Oil filter dirty.
Pressure differential across
filter approaching 45 PSID
5. Low oil level in separator.
1. Dirty oil cooling coil.
2. Faulty oil temp
diverting valve.
3. Fault oil temp sensor.
4. Liquid injection not operating
1. Improperly adjusted
low water temp. cut-out.
1. Open in 115VAC wiring
to heater.
2. Defective oil heater.
3. Auxiliary contacts of
of compressor contactor
defective.

SOLUTION
1. Check / replace
discharge temp sensor.
2. Check ball valves on oil
lines are open.
3. Check liquid injection.
4. Change oil filter.
5. Add oil to separator.
1. Clean oil cooling coil.
2. Check / replace valve.
3. Check / replace oil
temp sensor.
4. Check liquid injection
1. Re-program the low water
temp. cut-out.
1. Check wiring.
2. Replace oil heater.
3. Replace contacts or
or contactor.
