PROBLEM
"MOTOR CURRENT"
FAULT
Motor contactor may not
energize.
YORK INTERNATIONAL
CAUSE
CONTACTOR DOES
NOT ENERGIZE
1. External high pressure
switch tripped.
2. External motor
protector tripped.
3. Defective Relay Output
Board
CONTACTOR ENERGIZES
1. Improper system high
high voltage.
2. Defective contactor
contacts or contactor.
3. Faulty high voltage wiring.
4. High motor current stored
in memory.
5. Defective current
transformer (C.T.)
FORM 201.10-NM1
SOLUTION
1. Check mechanical high
pressure cut out, fan
operation, and discharge
stored in memory.
Forward running fans will
have air flow upward.
2. Check for defective
motor protector, wiring,
and motor problems.
Assure the motor protector
is not tripped due to a
tripped mechanical high
pressure switch.
3. Relay Output Board
defective.
1. Check system high
voltage supply.
2. Check contactor and
and contact.
3. Check wiring.
4. Loose J10 (SYS 1) or
J11 (SYS 2) calibration
resistors on Power
Board.
5. C.T. resistance =
42 - 44 ohms.
