that this scale is not intended for precision
measurement. It is provided as a general guide only.
• The focus distance scale may not appear when any
one of the following conditions exists.
— When "Contrast" is selected as the Auto Focus (AF)
mode (page 134)
— When "Hybrid" is selected as the Auto Focus (AF)
mode (page 134) and Macro "
focus mode (page 80)
— Conditions that are so dark or so bright that distance
measurement is impossible
