The fuel is taken by the oil pump from the tank,
compressed to operating pressure and fed to the
nozzle. The nozzle injects the fuel as a mist into the
combustion chamber where it ignites. The resulting
flame and the combustion gases heat the combus-
tion chamber and the heat exchanger.
The fan conveys cold ambient air along the surfaces
of the combustion chamber and the heat exchange.
The air is thereby heated and exits the device on the
