NSFOCUS ADS Installation Guide Connecting Power Cable ADS devices support both the AC power supply and DC power supply. For detailed descriptions of power supply, see section 1.2 Power Supply. The following sections describe how to connect the power supplies.
For details on default parameters of the ADS device, see appendix A Default Parameters. You can modify network settings at either the console management interface (see the NSFOCUS ADS User Guide) or web-based manager (see chapter 4 Initial Configuration). Device Shutdown You can turn the power switch to 0 to turn off the power supply.

NSFOCUS ADS Installation Guide Initial Configuration The device can operate properly after you complete simple network configuration and import a valid certificate. Network configuration involves the following: IP address Subnet mask Gateway DNS Server Network configuration can be conducted on the console or the web-based manager. Both approaches require a computer and accessories (included in the accessory box).

Step 4 Select a port (COM1 in this example) that is connected to the computer through a serial cable.

Type the user name and password (admin and nsfocus respectively by default) of the console administrator. Since ADS devices support IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack, you can configure the IP address/subnet mask and IPv6 address/prefix length for the management interface.
