Residual risks
Risk of fatal injury due to contact voltages
XL Version: Removing the plug connections before disconnecting the device from the PV generator may lead to injuries
and damage the device.
ž
During installation: Electrically disconnect the DC positive and DC negative from the protective earth (PE).
ž
Disconnect the device from the PV generator using the integrated DC isolator switch.
ž
Using a clip-on ammeter, check that there is no current in any of the DC cables before disconnecting the connec-
tors one after the other.
Risk of fire due to chemical corrosion!
The aluminum may be destroyed by the copper busbars in the presence of electrolytes (e.g. condensate).
ž
Cable lugs must be suitable for the conductor material and copper busbars used.
ž
When using aluminum cable lugs, use cable lugs with galvanic tin-plating or AL/CU cable lugs as well as suitable AL/
CU washers.
Lethal voltages are still present in the connections and cables of the housing even after the
component has been switched off and disconnected!
Severe injuries or death may occur if the cables and/or terminals/busbars in the component are touched.
ž
Observe all safety regulations and current technical connection specifications of the responsible power supply
company.
ž
The component is only permitted to be opened or serviced by a qualified electrician.
ž
Switch off the grid voltage by turning off the external circuit breakers.
