Brewing coffee

Cleaning the coffeemaker before first use

Follow the steps under "Adding water and ground coffee" and "Brewing coffee
now," (pages 4-5) but do not add coffee grounds.

Selecting and measuring ground coffee

For best results, use coffee ground for use with automatic drip coffee makers.
The amounts shown below are suggested
To brew... 1 Use this amount of ground coffee
8 cups 1 7 tablespoons or 3+1/2 scoops
6 cups
4 cups
2 cups

Adding water and ground coffee

1.) Open the brew basket lid and lift out the
removable filter
Make sure to remove the cardboard insert
before first
2.) Place a MR. COFFEP B-l 2 cup paper filter or a
MR. COFFEE@ permanent gold-tone filter in the
removable filter insert.
3.) Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the
Rlter. Gently shake the filter insert to level the
ground coffee.
4 . ) Return the fi l t er i n sert to the brew basket. Be certai n
that the Rlter is centered in the filter insert. Clcse the
l i d to the brew basket.
Do not brew coffee while the brew basket
lid ir open.
