OPERATING NOTES

Operate the appliance well away from foreign
objects and keep it well clear of furnishings.
There should be no obstructions above the
appliance.
Always use the grill with a small amount of
water in the drip tray. Place the food to be
cooked (which should be as dry as possible) in
the basket. This will reduce smoke and odours
and the drip tray will be much easier to clean.
When re-filling the drip tray with water, unplug
the appliance and let it cool fully. Remove any
food items from the grill rack. Now lift off the
Grill Element and Rack assembly and place it
flat on a heatproof surface. Refill the drip tray,
place the rack assembly back on the base, plug
in the power cord and resume cooking.
Always cook the food for the required time
depending on your recipe. Never under cook
poultry or pork products.
Cook food thoroughly. Food may turn golden
brown before it has cooked through.
Do not lean over the grill when cooking food.
Check the progress of the food during cooking.
When the grill is operating, always use heatproof
tongs to place and remove food from the grill.
Do NOT touch the metal surfaces of the grill
during cooking.
Operate the grill in a well ventilated room. All
food contains moisture which turns to steam
during grilling. Additionally fats etc. In meat
can cause a certain amount of smoke.
If food begins to smoke excessively, unplug the
appliance and then remove the food.
WHEN THE FOOD IS COOKED
Remove the food with heatproof tongs. Transfer
the food carefully to a heatproof utensil.
Switch off the mains socket and unplug the
grill.
Leave the appliance to cool fully before
cleaning.
