Unloading the operating hopper

ollow these steps to unload Lionel coal from the car. The pieces of coal will spill out from
the chute, and so we recommend using this car with the 456R Operating Coal Ramp
(available separately).
1. Load the car with Lionel coal. A bag of coal is included with this set.
2. Position the plunger over the "uncoupling" magnet on the 456R Operating Coal Ramp or
similar accessory. The plunger is identified in Figure 2.
3. Press UNLOAD on the accessory or track section's controller to pull down the plunger,
allowing the coal to flow through the two open chutes. When you release the button, the
chutes will close automatically.
