never open battery cover 1.
Take care when moving
the
battery
contains sulphuric acid
which must not come into
contact with the eyes or skin. If it
does, wash the affected area with
plenty of cold water.
Ensure naked flames, red hot
objects and sparks do not come
into contact with the battery as
there is a risk of explosion.
Access to the battery
Depending on the vehicle, remove
cover A by turning bolts 2 through a
quarter of a turn using the vehicle's
emergency spare key or a coin.

Replacing the battery
Since this operation is complex, we
advise you to have the battery
replaced by your RENAULT Dealer.

there is a special battery (a
degassing pipe 3 allows
corrosive
and
gases to be discharged), ensure that
you replace it with a battery that
can be connected to this pipe.
