NOTES ON MOISTURE CONDENSATION

INSIDE THE RECORDER SECTION
If the unit is brought directly from a cold to a
warm location, moisture may condense on the
drum assembly inside the unit. In this condi
tion, the tape may adhere to the head drum.
To prevent damage under these circum
stances, the recorder section is furnished with
a moisture sensor.
If moisture is present, the TAPE RUN/BATT
lamp (red) and STANDBY lamp (orange)
blink alternately and the DEW lamp (yellow)
lights up.
Remove the cassette and let the unit stand
with the cassette holder open for about an
hour.
The moisture has evaporated if the cassette
holder can be closed.
When the moisture has condensed, the but
tons except the EJECT will not function and
the recording will stop.

Note
According to the light source, the white sub
iect may not be recorded white.
ON THE LENS
Moisture may condense also on the lens when
the unit is brought in from a cold place to an
extremely warm place, causing the lens to
become dim. If this occurs, slide the lens cover
over the lens and leave the unit unused at
least for an hour.
