Removing the Device
To remove the device from a DIN rail, do the following:

Installing the Device Outdoors

When installing the RP100 outdoors, make sure there is a solid connection between
the lightning protector and the CPE/PD. The following illustration details a typical
installation:
Note
A shielded cable must be used and connected to local ground at both the RP100 and
CPE/PD.
Note
The lightning protector must meet the necessary requirements of IEC/UL/CSA
62368-1. The clamping voltage must also be less than 60 V and the protector must
not activate when the voltage is less than 56 V. For more information, contact
Siemens Customer Support.

Insert a flathead screwdriver into the slot of the sliding release and move it
down.

Swing the bottom of the device away from the DIN rail.
Lift the device off the DIN rail.
