12 NETWORK, GSM AND POWER CONNECTIONS
12.1 Network
If you purchased a digiGate with wireless (WiFi) connection, please skip to section 12.1.2
If you purchased a digiGate for use with an ethernet (wired) please follow 12.1.1 below.
12.1.1 Wired Network
1. Plug one end of the provided Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the digiGate as shown below.
2. Plug the other end directly into your router, access point or ethernet-over-power (powerline) device.
Note: If you are installing your digiGate directly at your electric gates or if you do not have physical access to your router or an
access point, you will need to purchase an ethernet-over-power adapter to receive an Internet connection there. The ethernet-
over-power adapters allow you to extend your network (Internet connection) via the power cables on your property. You will
require a spare power socket at the electric gates in order for the adapter to work.
Please follow the manufacturers instructions to setup the ethernet-over-power adapter.
12.1.2 Wireless Network
1. Plug the wireless adapter into any of the USB ports on your digiGate as shown below.
Note: WiFi only supported with a 2.4Ghz connection.
2. WiFi is configured via the mobile app when setting your digiGate up for the first time.
