5.2 Switch cabling
This section explains how to insert the switch cables into the digiGate. In order to determine which
terminals to connect the cables to on the digiGate, please refer to sections 6 to 10 of this guide depending
on your device type and refer back here later when required.
1. Unscrew the relevant terminal with a flat head screwdriver.
2. Ensure the cable is stripped with the metal inside exposed and push in the switch cable. Once inside the
terminal, ensure no metal from the cable is exposed on the outside of the digiGate.
3. Finally, tighten the screw again so the cable sits firmly in place without falling out.
Note: If you purchased a miscellaneous (switchable device) digiGate (not Gate or Garage) - it is
VERY
important you do not
leave any cable exposed when controlling mains voltage devices to avoid serious injury. We recommend contacting a qualified
electrician to install digiGate when switching mains voltage.
