2. MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

A. Oil Filter
(1) Removal - Oil Filter
(a) Acquire necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
Strap Wrench
(b) Remove engine cowling.
(c) Remove safety wire securing oil filter to engine.
(d) Using strap wrench, remove oil filter from engine.
(e) Remove oil filter from airplane.
(2) Installation - Oil Filter
(a) Acquire necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.

Safety Wire
(b) Fill filter with approved oil and coat seal with oil.
(c) Using strap wrench, install oil filter. Torque filter to 18 - 20 ft-lb (24.4 - 27.1 Nm).
(d) Install safety wire securing oil filter to engine.
(e) Install engine cowling.
