PASSENGER ADDRESS AND ENTERTAINMENT

1. DESCRIPTION

This section covers the systems used to entertain the passengers with music, video, information, games,
etc. Includes items such as controllers, cabin control panels, audio and video equipment, etc.
The Avidyne XM Radio system is integral to the XM weather system.
Using the same receiver as the XM Weather system, the XM Radio system provides satellite broadcast
audio entertainment and information to aircraft occupants via the Garmin GMA 340 Audio System while
traveling anywhere within the contiguous United States of America.
The XM Radio system receives audio information via integral antenna from two geosynchronous XM
broadcast satellites. The audio signal is then sent by wire to the Audio Control Panel's Music1 and Music2
AUDIO INPUT jacks. System operation is provided by a hand held, infra-red remote control.
The XM Radio system is powered by 28 VDC supplied through the 3-amp WEATHER/STORMSCOPE cir-
cuit breaker on the Avionics Non-Essential Bus.
Refer to the manufacturer's approved Instructions For Continued Airworthiness and/or other service
instructions.
